The Plateau Chapter of the Colorado Native Plant Society is proud to host the 2026 Annual Conference: Coloradoscape with Natives!, and this year's gathering promises to be one for the books. Nestled among the dramatic red rock landscapes of the Western Slope, Grand Junction sets the perfect stage for a weekend immersed in the beauty and science of Colorado's native flora.
The main event takes place in the University Center Ballroom at Colorado Mesa University on Saturday, May 23, where a dynamic lineup of speakers will take you deep into the world of native plant horticulture — from botany and conservation to pollinator habitat, firescaping, waterwise gardening and associated research initiatives. Whether you're a seasoned botanist or a backyard enthusiast, there's something here to inspire you.
But the experience doesn't stop at the ballroom doors. Plant Walks on Friday, May 22 and Sunday morning, May 24 will wind through some of the region's most spectacular terrain, including the iconic Colorado National Monument. Then wrap up the weekend with the Grand Valley Garden Tour — a rare peek inside beautiful private and public gardens showcasing Coloradoscapes in action across the Grand Valley.
Three days. Breathtaking scenery. World-class speakers. And endless inspiration for bringing the native landscape home. We'll see you in Grand Junction!
