Metro Denver PPAN Chapter Meeting: Bumble Bee Atlas Training

This month, we're swapping our regular Metro Denver chapter meeting for something a little different: a Bumble Bee Atlas training session, right in Washington Park's Big Gardens.

The Bumble Bee Atlas is a community science project that trains volunteers to identify and survey bumble bee species, helping researchers track population trends and conservation needs across the region. This training will give you the skills to start contributing real data — no prior entomology degree required.

We're excited to welcome Julie Morris, DU professor and PPAN board member, who'll be joining us to help lead the session and share her expertise on native pollinators.

📍 Where: Washington Park's Big Gardens, Denver

🗓️ When: September 9, 9:00–10:30 AM

🎒 Bring: Water, sun protection, comfortable shoes, a camera (can be your phone), something to take notes with, and your curiosity
